I believe great design is in service of those who engage with it — helping them accomplish their goals in a way that's easier, safer and more enjoyable than if they had attempted it through other means.   This is the bar I set for my teams and what I strive to accomplish in all of my work, big or small.

I believe the best work starts with the best teams and those can only be formed with trust, in each other, and in their leaders.  Trust is built by doing what you say you will do consistently over time, understanding your people, and taking accountability.  It can't happen overnight and it takes work.  It requires empathy, intention and integrity.  

The same also happens to be true for design.
